My love for animals began in early childhood. I was always surrounded by them, and it would probably be easier to list the animals I didn’t bring home! After 20 years of horse ownership and caring for countless rodents, reptiles, and exotic birds, I still remember my parents saying, “Sweetheart, when you grow up and live on your own, you can have as many animals as you want... but please don’t bring any more home!” And that’s exactly what happened later on.
I was first introduced to dogs through German Shepherds and Labrador Retrievers, but my passion and devotion to Corgis came from my husband. In the early 1990s, he saw a Pembroke Corgi in a movie and dreamed of having one ever since. After our wedding, we decided to make that dream come true. After much research and planning, Rozi arrived from Russia, and she opened doors we never could have imagined!
Thanks to Rozi, our lives have been enriched in countless ways. We’ve gained unforgettable show experiences and results, expanded our knowledge of dog breeding, made lifelong friendships, and acquired invaluable lessons. Before we knew it, what started as a hobby had become our life and calling. This led to the founding of Pemberry LTD, and our kennel has since grown with additional high-quality dogs.
As a small kennel, we prioritize quality over quantity. Our goal is to breed healthy, well-structured, and well-tempered dogs who represent and elevate the breed. We treat our dogs as family members and are committed to their health and well-being. Every one of our dogs undergoes comprehensive health screenings (for Dysplasia, DM, vWD, EIC, PRA) before being included in our breeding program, as we believe quality is never an accident.
We are a true family-owned Pembroke Welsh Corgi kennel devoted to breeding exceptional, healthy dogs with remarkable temperament and functionality. Our mission is to honor the breed’s legacy and work towards its continual improvement.
Our dogs will forever be family members, living with us and sharing our everyday lives. Beyond high-quality breeding and attending shows, we believe it’s essential for our dogs to lead full and happy lives. We go on frequent adventures and prioritize excellent socialization, doing everything we can to ensure our dogs are loved and well-integrated into our lives.
